Yet another comp at a horse track but this one also has a beach view. Another PC required event but luckily for us we were able to donate all our cooked meat to another team so that we had no distractions. Just had to bring an additional smoker but that wasn’t too difficult. We lucked out on our spot and were only about 20 feet from the judges tent. 2 live crew was next door and Steve from the pit crew was behind us and Jim from Smokin’ Money with Big Red was around the corner. Our cooks went well and the boxes went together like we were doing this for years. When the smoke cleared we ended up walking in ribs, pork and brisket! An ugly 43rd in chicken brought our overall score down and we finished 17th overall. We will take 3 walks any day! Another 55 points for the ROY race.
