Wildomar, CA – April, 2016
Comp #4 for the year and this one is in lovely Wildomar. If you have never been to Wildomar before, you really haven’t missed much. It’s like Lake Elsinore’s even uglier cousin. The comp was held in a small park with several baseball diamonds. We got lucky and were against a wall in the outfield. This proved very important as the wind was howling and if you were near the infield you had to deal with blowing dust. We also got placed next to a really cool team – 2 Live Q, Derrick and Chris were super helpful and after checking out their Cambro system we decided to go with a similar set up going forward. Despite being down 2 teammates we still were able to function quite well as a team. All the practice and sticking to our processes really paid off. We got a call in ribs and 15th in pork! Just missed making it into the top half of the field and earned points for ROY.
